Assalamualaikum guys, welcome to my blog, I am from Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. I am now studying at UiTM campus Dungun from faculty of business and management BA118 ( Office Management And Technolgy).
I am going to tell you guys about my background. I have five siblings including me and I am the fourth one. My primary school was at SK Alam Damai and my secondary school was SMK Alam Damai. Both schools are in cheras, kuala lumpur.
This blog is for UED 102 study skills. The contents in this blog is going to be what I have learned in interim session of 2019 in UiTM DUNGUN.

GETTING READY TO LEARN
- LEARNING STYLE INVENTORY
In college, there are way too much different than the life that you were in high school .
- you are the one who decide and arrange your time in college while in high school your parents and teachers are your advocates.
- Also you are the one who decide which classes and teachers to sign up for, and counsellors are all by your choice in college while in high school, teachers, classes and counsellors are assigned
- college are optional while high school are the required one.
There are 3 types of learning styles that you can use in your study:
- visual
- auditory
- kinesthetic
- visual learners need to see the information first. If you preferred to use the visual style, than your visualisation skills is good and very well. You can learn from reading or watching films, videos, also demonstrations. It is like you can see pictures in your mind.
- Auditory learners listen to the information. If you preferred this style than your listening skills are very well Reading out loud will be very beneficial. You can easily remember what you hear in a lecture while in learning process.
- Kinesthetic learners are physically active. If your preferred his style than you are known as hands-on learners.

GOAL SETTING
WHAT IS GOAL?
A goal is an idea of the future or so called desired result that a person or in a group of people envisions, plans and commits to achieve. People endeavour to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines of it.In other words, time is also known as an aim or target that we are strive for.
Goals should be :
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Realistic
- Time Frame
Characteristics of GOALS :
- should be self-chosen
- should be moderately challenging
- should be realistic
- should be measurable
- should be specific
- should be finite
- should be positive
EFFECTIVE GOALS STATEMENT
( 5 step approach)
- State what you want to achieve
- State any obstacles that will prevent you or disturb you in achieving your goals
- State any resources as much as you can around you.
- Revise the goal statement that you made.
- Improvise your goal statement till you get the best settings.
The topic that has been discussed in class was "TIME MANAGEMENT". From this topic we can learn the important of time, how to manage time properly. It is important, so we will not waste our time by doing something useless.
- WHAT IS TIME?
Time is a component quantity of various measurements used to sequence events, to compare the duration of events or the intervals between them, Time in physics is clearly operationally defined as "what a clock reads".
- Why Time Management Is Important?
*Time is limited - time is limited because we only have 24 hours in a day in our life.
*Reduce stress - we don’t have to rush in our daily life. That will keep our mental health in good condition.
*Become more successful in your career - Time management is the
*key to success. It allows you to take control of your life rather than following the flow of others.
*Self-disciplines - Time management will teach you to keep yourself disciplines. This will lead you to become a successful person
*free time – you can enjoy your free time after all of your daily task is done.
*Time management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on the specific activities especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity.

*To become a good student, there is one most important thing that we should avoid, it is procrastination. What is procrastination?? For your information, it an act of putting off doing something that should be done. It's also a psychological behaviour that allow a person to delay a certain activity and task. There are some solution to get rid of that unhealthy habit :

- Alert to deadline
- Prioritized
- Self rewards

- Did not pay attention in class
- Skip breakfast

How Can You Improve
- Get enough sleep everyday
- Pay more attention in class

- Avoiding Plagiarism
- Many students intentionally and unintentionally guilty of doing plagiarism when doing assignment, writing report and so on.What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is using or imitating works of another author without giving any credit to the original author. It is nowadays become one of the biggest cyber crime in the world.
-HOW TO PREVENT?
- The best way is we personally planning our work.
- If we have problem with our work or want to get some fresh ideas, we can go consult with our lecturer.
- You can also write notes on your own base on what you have learned effectively.
- You should never forget to give credit to the owner for what you copy and use for your works.
